Description
This Sugar Cookie Martini is a sweet and festive dessert cocktail that tastes remarkably like a liquid sugar cookie! It combines vanilla vodka, Irish cream, amaretto, milk, and a touch of powdered sugar,
Ingredients
For the Rim:
- Vanilla frosting (store-bought or homemade)
- Sprinkles (holiday, rainbow, or your choice)
For the Martini:
- 1 1/2 ounces vanilla vodka
- 1 1/2 ounces Irish cream liqueur (such as Baileys)
- 2 ounces whole milk (or half-and-half for richer flavor)
- 1 ounce amaretto (almond liqueur)
- 1 teaspoon powdered sugar (confectioners’ sugar)
- Ice cubes
Instructions
-
Prepare the Rim:
- Spread a thin layer of vanilla frosting onto a small plate.
- Pour the sprinkles onto another small, shallow dish or saucer.
- Dip the rim of a martini glass into the frosting, rotating to coat the edge evenly.
- Immediately dip the frosting-coated rim into the sprinkles, pressing gently to adhere. Set the prepared glass aside.
-
Combine Martini Ingredients: Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes. Add the vanilla vodka, Irish cream liqueur, milk, amaretto, and powdered sugar to the shaker.
-
Shake Well: Secure the lid tightly on the cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously for at least 15 seconds, or until the outside of the shaker is very cold.
-
Strain and Serve: Strain the chilled mixture from the shaker into the prepared, sprinkle-rimmed martini glass. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Vodka: Use a good quality vanilla-flavored vodka. If you don’t have vanilla vodka, you can use plain vodka and add an extra 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the shaker.
- Irish Cream: Baileys is the most common brand, but any Irish cream liqueur will work.
- Milk: Whole milk provides a good balance. For a richer, creamier martini, substitute half-and-half or even heavy cream.
- Amaretto: Amaretto adds the characteristic almond flavor often found in sugar cookies.
- Sweetness: Adjust the amount of powdered sugar to your preference. If you prefer a less sweet drink, you can omit it.
- Chilling: Ensure all liquid ingredients and the shaker are cold for the best results. Chilling the martini glass beforehand is also a nice touch.
- Variations: Add a drop of almond extract for more intense almond flavor.
- Storage: This cocktail is best made fresh and served immediately.
