Description

This vibrant and colorful “Drunk Witch” cocktail is a fun and festive drink, perfect for Halloween parties or any occasion where you want a visually striking and flavorful beverage. It combines vodka, blue curaçao, and grenadine for a layered effect, topped with Sprite for a touch of fizz.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ounces vodka
  • 2 ounces blue curaçao
  • 2 ounces grenadine
  • Sprite (or other lemon-lime soda), to top
  • Ice cubes

For Garnish (Optional):

  • Light corn syrup
  • Green sanding sugar or sprinkles
  • Star Sprinkles

Instructions

  • Prepare Glass (Optional): If desired, rim the glass with green sugar. To do this, pour a small amount of light corn syrup onto a plate. Pour some green sanding sugar or sprinkles onto another plate. Dip the rim of the glass into the corn syrup, then dip it into the green sugar, coating the rim evenly.
  • Fill Glass with Ice: Fill a tumbler glass with ice cubes.
  • Combine Ingredients in Shaker: Add the vodka, blue curaçao, and grenadine to a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
  • Shake: Seal the cocktail shaker tightly and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds, or until the outside of the shaker is very cold.
  • Strain into Glass: Strain the mixture from the cocktail shaker into the prepared glass filled with ice.
  • Top with Sprite: Top off the drink with Sprite (or other lemon-lime soda).
  • Garnish (Optional): Garnish with star sprinkles, if desired.
  • Serve Immediately

Notes

  • Vodka: Use your preferred brand of vodka.
  • Blue Curaçao: Blue curaçao is an orange-flavored liqueur with a vibrant blue color. It’s essential for achieving the drink’s signature look.
  • Grenadine: Grenadine is a non-alcoholic pomegranate syrup that adds sweetness and a red color.
  • Sprite: You can use any lemon-lime soda, such as Sprite, 7-Up, or Sierra Mist.
  • Layering: The different densities of the liquids will naturally create a layered effect, with the grenadine sinking to the bottom.
  • Garnishes: Get creative with your garnishes! In addition to star sprinkles, you could use a lime wedge, an orange slice, or even a spooky Halloween-themed garnish.
