Description

This Easy Frozen Strawberry Lemonade is a refreshing and delicious drink perfect for hot summer days. It combines the sweetness of frozen strawberries with the tartness of lemonade for a simple, flavorful treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups frozen strawberries
  • 1 cup lemonade (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar, or to taste (optional, see notes)
  • Optional Garnishes: Lemon wedges, fresh strawberries, fresh mint sprigs

Instructions

  • Combine Ingredients: Add the frozen strawberries, lemonade, and ice cubes to a high-speed blender.
  • Blend: Blend on high speed until the mixture is completely smooth and slushy. If your blender struggles, you can add a little more lemonade (1-2 tablespoons at a time) to help it blend, but be careful not to make it too thin.
  • Taste and Adjust Sweetness: Taste the mixture. If desired, add sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time, blending after each addition until the desired sweetness is reached. See notes below about sugar alternatives.
  • Serve: Pour the frozen strawberry lemonade into tall glasses. Garnish with lemon wedges, fresh strawberries, and/or mint sprigs, if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Frozen Strawberries: Using frozen strawberries creates a thick, slushy consistency without needing to add too much ice (which can dilute the flavor).
  • Lemonade: You can use store-bought or homemade lemonade. Adjust the sweetness of the lemonade to your preference.
  • Sugar: The amount of sugar needed will depend on the sweetness of your strawberries and lemonade, and your personal preference. You may not need any additional sugar.
  • Sugar Alternatives: Instead of granulated sugar, you can use simple syrup, honey, agave nectar, or a sugar substitute. If using a liquid sweetener, add it slowly and blend after each addition to avoid over-thinning the mixture.
  • High-Speed Blender: A high-speed blender (like a Vitamix or Blendtec) is recommended for the smoothest texture. If you don’t have a high-speed blender, you may need to blend for a longer time and/or add a little more liquid.
  • Serving Suggestions: This frozen strawberry lemonade is delicious on its own or as a refreshing drink alongside a meal.
  • Storage: Best served immediately.
