Description

This dreamy, showy Tropical Hibiscus Sangria is an impressive refreshing beverage to serve guests for patio entertaining! It combines mango hibiscus iced tea, white wine, orange liqueur, and fresh citrus juices.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bottle (approx. 2 cups / 500ml) Pure Leaf Mango Hibiscus Iced Tea (or similar flavored iced tea), chilled
  • 1 cup dry white wine (such as Sauvignon Blanc), chilled
  • 3 ounces Grand Marnier (or other orange liqueur like Cointreau or Triple Sec), chilled
  • 1/3 cup freshly squeezed blood orange juice, chilled
  • 1/3 cup freshly squeezed grapefruit juice, chilled
  • Ice cubes
  • Optional Garnishes: Orange slices, grapefruit slices, fresh mint sprigs

Instructions

  • Combine Liquids: In a large pitcher, combine the Mango Hibiscus Iced Tea, white wine, Grand Marnier (or other orange liqueur), fresh blood orange juice, and fresh grapefruit juice.
  • Stir: Stir the mixture well to combine all the ingredients.
  • Chill (Optional but Recommended): For best flavor, cover the pitcher and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  • Add Ice & Serve: Just before serving, add plenty of ice cubes to the pitcher. Stir gently again. Pour the sangria into individual glasses filled with more ice.
  • Garnish (Optional): Garnish each glass with orange slices, grapefruit slices, or fresh mint sprigs, if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Chilled Ingredients: Using pre-chilled iced tea, wine, juices, and liqueur helps keep the sangria cold without too much dilution from ice.
  • Iced Tea: The recipe specifies Pure Leaf Mango Hibiscus. Another high-quality hibiscus or tropical fruit-flavored iced tea could be substituted.
  • Wine: A dry white wine like Sauvignon Blanc complements the tropical flavors. Pinot Grigio or an unoaked Chardonnay would also work.
  • Orange Liqueur: Grand Marnier adds a nice depth. Cointreau or Triple Sec are good alternatives.
  • Fresh Juice: Freshly squeezed citrus juice provides the best flavor.
  • Variations: Add sliced fresh fruit like oranges, pineapple, or mango directly to the pitcher for a more traditional sangria presentation.
  • Storage: This sangria is best enjoyed the day it is made. Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator, but note that the flavor may change slightly.
