Description

These Nonalcoholic Strawberry Margaritas are a refreshing and flavorful drink, perfect for any occasion. Frozen strawberries, lime juice, and agave nectar are blended together to create a sweet, tart, and icy treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (16-ounce) package frozen whole strawberries, partially thawed (see notes)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1/4 cup light blue agave nectar (or regular agave nectar, see notes)
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • Lime slices, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Combine Ingredients: Place the partially thawed frozen strawberries, water, fresh lime juice, agave nectar, and salt in a blender.
  • Pulse: Pulse the mixture several times (about 10 pulses) until it’s loosened and has a chunky consistency.
  • Blend: Process on high speed until the mixture is completely smooth, about 20 seconds.
  • Serve immediately

Notes

  • Frozen Strawberries: Using frozen strawberries creates a thick, slushy margarita. Letting them partially thaw makes them easier to blend. If using fresh strawberries, add about 1 cup of ice cubes to the blender.
  • Lime Juice: Freshly squeezed lime juice is always best.
  • Agave Nectar: Light blue agave nectar is used in this recipe, but you can use regular agave nectar. Adjust the amount to your preference. You can also substitute honey or simple syrup.
  • Salt: A small pinch of salt enhances the flavors of the other ingredients.
  • Blender: A high-powered blender works best for achieving a smooth consistency. If you don’t have a high-powered blender, you may need to blend for a longer time and/or add a little more liquid.
  • Serving Suggestions: Serve these nonalcoholic margaritas in margarita glasses or other festive glasses. Garnish with lime slices, fresh strawberries, or a salt rim.
  • Storage: These are best enjoyed immediately.
