Description

These Air Fryer Ham Steaks are incredibly quick and easy to make! A simple brown sugar and butter glaze creates a sweet and savory crust, making this a perfect weeknight meal or holiday side dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ham steak (about 1/2-inch to 1-inch thick)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons packed light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon honey (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C).
  • Prepare Ham Steak: Remove the ham steak from its packaging.
  • Make Glaze: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter and brown sugar. Stir until well combined.
  • First Baste: Place the ham steak in the air fryer basket. Brush or spoon half of the brown sugar-butter mixture evenly over the top of the ham steak.
  • Air Fry: Cook the ham steak for 10-12 minutes, flipping it halfway through the cooking time (after about 5-6 minutes).
  • Second Baste: After flipping the ham steak, brush or spoon the remaining brown sugar-butter mixture over the top. Continue cooking for the remaining time.
  • Add Honey (Optional): Remove the cooked ham steak from the air fryer. If desired, drizzle the honey over the top.
  • Serve

Notes

  • Ham Steak Thickness: The cooking time may vary slightly depending on the thickness of your ham steak. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the ham reaches an internal temperature of 140°F (60°C).
  • Glaze: The brown sugar-butter mixture will caramelize on the ham steak as it cooks, creating a delicious glaze.
  • Honey (Optional): The honey adds a touch of extra sweetness, but it’s not essential.
  • Serving Suggestions: Serve these ham steaks with your favorite side dishes, such as mashed potatoes, green beans, or a salad.
